Well, it's Christmas Eve Eve. :) The boys are getting really excited about seeing what Santa brings on Christmas morning. They seem equally excited to see all the grandparents and great-grandparents considering that they had been sick all last week. Thankfully, they are much better (thank you, antibiotics!).
Back at the beginning of December, we sat down and wrote letters to Santa (or they dictated and I wrote). They pretty much asked for toy cars, a christmas tree, cookies, books, etc. Those seem pretty easy for Santa (especially considering that the tree can be crossed off the list). Lately, when I ask what they want Santa to bring, they say "toy car" or "purple car". I bet Santa loves when the kids ask for such simple things (the older ones are more difficult and expensive...especially when they learn of name-brand items!).
On Sunday, we were at the annual Christmas party held by Great, Great-Aunt Mary Claire (to the boys). That seems silly doesn't it! We just refer to her as Aunt Cissy or Mary Claire. Anyway, it's a big Christmas reunion on my mother-in-law's side. The most exciting part is that Santa comes!! This year the boys sat on Santa's lap without a hesitation. They sat there long enough for me to get several pictures. I even saw Aidan telling him that he wanted a "purple car". Hopefully Santa delivers! We'll see. That was a fun evening! (We'll post pictures soon...I have to do it at work and I won't be there 'til the 31st. )
Last night, my little helper, Chef Colin, helped me bake some cinnamon bread for the neighbors & our friends. He loves to help in the kitchen especially the pouring & stirring parts. Tonight on Christmas Eve Eve, we are planning to go to Tilles park to see the park all lit up with lights. It's fun to drive through the park and see the lights. Maybe we'll bring some cocoa too. That's always a treat. Before we know it, it'll be Christmas Eve.
Enjoy your special memories with your family.
