Memorial Weekend

Wow...I can't believe it's already the end of May. (sigh!) Where does time go? Things have been busy for us. Mike was out of town for two weeks at the end of April. The boys and I missed him immensely! Since then, we've been barbecuing a bit, enjoying the weather and trying to keep up with things around the house. At the beginning of May, we had our shower redone. Then, this past weekend, we had the rest of the bathroom redone. It's SOOOO nice to have a fresh, clean and nice looking bathroom. We had someone put up wainscoating with chairrail and base, a new light, vanity/faucet, mirror, towel bars...the works. We are very pleased. Last night, I spent a couple hours touching up paint from where he had to caulk, & Mike painted the bathroom door. I have a little more touch-up tonight. And then, it's down to the fun part---new decor and accessories! Within the next week it should be all done. I'll post pictures when it's fully complete. With all that going on, it's been hard to keep up with laundry and normal household chores, but we're making do. I can't complain really! Thanks again to both of parents for taking us in overnight while these things were going on! (We loved going to Pueblo Nuevo on Friday night...best Mexican food in that area!)

Other then that, we've been trying to keep the boys happy with fun activities despite our preoccupation with the bathroom. Last week, the boys and I met up with our twin friends for a little fun at the zoo! We had a picnic lunch and enjoyed seeing animals with our friends.

One night this weekend, we also took the boys to Happy Joe's, a pizzeria and arcade game restaurant. The boys love going there for the yummy food and games (they only cost 25 cents....amazing!). We had a good time treating the boys.

Yesterday, we spent some time with my in-laws at their BBQ. (Lots of good food and fun!) Here are some photos:
