Garden 2009- mid June
Here we have tomato plants staked and growing, oregano (grows so fast that I can't keep up with it!), romaine lettuce, bell pepper plants.
In this box, we have more romaine lettuce, green onions, 2 types of basil, more bell pepper plants, a cucumber plant and a watermelon plant. I hope we see a fruitful late summer/fall!
In all honesty, things have been sooo busy this summer that I am having a bit of difficulty giving all my attention to the garden (other than watering). It's not like I have any kids or a husband or house or anything, not to mention all our summer activities in June. I did add a bit of manure recently to the watermelon and bell pepper plants b/c they didn't seem to be growing much. Now they are doing much better. I think we are back on track!
Oh...I have lots of weeding to do! BOO!
The beginning bloom of my Rose of Sharon. This plant gets these blooms all over the plant all summer long....my favorite.
