Brussels Flower Carpet is held every 2 years in the Grand Place.
It started on a Wednesday and we went on a Saturday.

This weekend was very hot for Belgium weather.  It was in the mid-high 90s.
So, the flowers were a bit dried out by the day we saw them.  It was still a fun experience.

Look who we saw as we were driving down our street...

One weekend, we stayed home and hung around the house.  It was an overcast and rainy weekend.  I decided to use the spice that my dear friend, Angelyn, gave to me before we left town.  I needed a little STL love!

Making pumpkin bread with Angelyn's baking spice.  The bread was delicious!

Angelyn and I became great friends when we were pregnant with our twins.  We met at a twin club dinner, and discovered how close we lived together.  Since then, our twins and families have grown up together!   Angelyn is a great baker and was always dropping goodies at our house & vice versa.  Thanks for this special gift!  Miss you!
