Colin and Aidan are playing soccer through our parish. Mike and another dad are coaching the Pre-K boys. It seems like they have a great group of boys. And the families are so nice too. It's been fun so far.

On the way to the game, Aidan said, " I'm just so excited!"

Aidan is starting as a striker with another boy.
The games are comprised of 2- 20 minute halves with a short half-time between. This time around 4 kids rotated playing goalie, one of which was Aidan. Eventually, all the kids will play it if they want to.

Tommy, on our team, got the first break-away within the first few minutes. "Go Yellow!"

Time to say "Good game!"
The score was a tie 4-4.
Two boys from our team each got 2 goals! ---Nice job, Nathan and Harrison.
All the boys did great!

Good sportsmanship!
Ted Drews to celebrate!
All in all, it was a good time. Aidan is about 200% into the sport. He's excited, willing to play, and do what the coaches tell him. As with twins and siblings in general, you cannot expect both children to like or love the exact same things. Right now, Colin is sort of in to it....maybe 25%-50%. And that is okay. We just figured that we would expose him to it since brother really wanted to play. Colin played some yesterday, but didn't really chase the ball. He more hung around daddy who was the coach on the field at the time. He just seems to get tired so easily. It may or may not be Colin's favorite sport, but at least we can say, "we tried it!" And he IS only 4. Maybe as the games progress, he'll want to play more. No big deal! One thing is for sure: He LOVES wearing his soccer jersey. He would probably wear it every day if we let him. :)

It's adorable to see them playing soccer! I love it! It's okay if Colin doesn't like soccer...he'll probably play Daddy's other sport....golf, right?
