Tournai Date Trip

Mike had Monday off work for Columbus Day, but the kids had school.  So, we took advantage of that and had a day out to celebrate our upcoming anniversary.  Why not celebrate our anniversary for the entire week (the way I like to celebrate birthdays!)  ;)

We walked down the meadering city streets, popped in for a cappuchino, visited the Cathedral of Our Lady of Tournai (also known as Notre Dame Cathedral in Tournai), and had a wonderful lunch at the quaint restaurant, Tatie Danielle.  It was a relaxing few hours!

Tournai Grand Place...lovely!

Better go running after that cappuchino! YUM!

The Cathedral of Our Lady of Tournai
(We went inside, but it was being renovated, so it was hard to see a lot.  Scaffolding everywhere)

Belfry...CLOSED on Mondays...bummer!  (a reason to come back though!)

Loved this quaint little restaurant... Mike had a vegetable couscous meal.

Tomato-Banana Soup pictured...yes, banana in it and delicious!  I also had a jambon and gouda sandwich...yum!
