March-April Visitors: Part 3

MONS

Mons has been named the European Cultural Capital for 2015

A beautiful "Mons" door!

In Mons, Mom & Dad also toured a house where Van Gogh lived for about 15 months.

ANTWERP

This city is known for its diamonds.  During our visit there, we tried to take a tour of the diamond museum, but it was under renovation.  Instead, a horse-drawn carriage tour of the city wasn't bad.  ;)

Antwerp's train station is very nice

Our boy, Aidan

We would like to come back here to see the diamond museum and maybe even take a tour of the castle.  It's a pedestrian-filled city with lots of restaurants and cafes.  It's definitely a fun place to come back to on a warm day.

HOME

All in all, we had a wonderful 2-1/2 week visit together.  While the weather was cold, we still enjoyed our sightseeing around Belgium & France.  And most of all, we enjoyed our coffee mornings, 'Belgian' time happy hour, and dinners together.  It was great to be able to catch up and just spend time together.

We really enjoyed your visit, Mom & Dad!
