Both Beaune & Dijon are incredibly elegant cities in France. They are much smaller than Paris and are very walkable, friendly, and beautiful.
Our gite in Beaune
Touring Beaune's Hôtel-Dieu, a hospital for the poor from the 14th century
A grand room with beds that look fit for royalty
A chapel at the end of the row of beds
Quaint city streets of Beaune
Happy Halloween!
The next day, we took a 30 min train to Dijon. This is where, I'm sure you can guess, Dijon mustard is from.
Just a pretty staircase in the middle of an apartment building
These buildings remind me of Strasbourg in the Alsace region
And that's the end of our October trip in France. We really enjoy exploring many of the different regions since the country is so large compared to Belgium.
