September: Étretat, France

Étretat is a peaceful and gorgeous place on the Normandy coast of France.   If you are in the area, make sure to stop & see the beautiful, naturally-made arches.   We arrived on a sunny Sunday and took a few hours to walk up the rugged path of the cliff to see the stunning arches.   Impressionists like Boudin, Courbet, & Monet painted a lot of work here.

I am continually in awe of the beauty on Earth!

You can see two arches from the beach.  Here's one.

The smallest arch on the far left side.

Beautiful day for a sail

Enjoying our time in France

Nice photo, Mom & Dad!

hikers!

It was so pretty up there.  To the left is the sea, the background is the city of Étretat, and the right is a golf course.

Just look at that gorgeous blue and emerald green water!

Now, that's a keeper!

We climbed the side that had a bigger arch.

Nice place to perch.

Our happy Colin!

And there's happy Red!

Colin looks like he is meditating.  :)

Just check out that white boat and you can get the idea of the scale!

He loved being up there and leading the way!

My favorite!

We only stopped here for the afternoon on our drive back home, but what a wonderful place it was!
