November: Haarlem & Amsterdam, NL

For our November Fall break, we drove north a few hours to Haarlem, Netherlands and stayed for a few days.  It's a pretty university town about 15-20 minutes outside Amsterdam.  The city is bustling full of students on bikes.  We stayed on a quaint street not too far from this lovely canal.  For 2 days, we traveled into Amsterdam by walking through this pretty park and riding a train into Amsterdam. Once there, we explored the insteresting cultural neighborhoods, visited a museum, had dinner with Mike's cousin, Kees & just enjoyed the Fall weather.

Here we are on a walk from our apartment in Haarlem to the train station to head into Amsterdam for the day.

Check out all that beautiful Fall color!

This part of Haarlem seemed quite nice and comfortable.  How nice would it be to live a more tranquil life in Haarlem, but be only 15-20 minutes to Amsterdam.

Having fun in Amsterdam!

We enjoyed a day of meandering around the city neighborhoods.
