Since we were now home for Easter break, we took a day trip to the champagne city of France: Reims, France. (pronounced like rince....see this is why French is so difficult!!)
Beautiful sunny day
lovely old doors
Checking out Reims
quick stop for some "petit dejeuner"
French trees
Yum, yum!
This building even has a small turret.
Notre Dame de Reims Cathedral
Notre Dame de Reims Cathedral
Gorgeous statue decor
flying buttresses
Looks like part of an old city wall
Gorgeous!!
(part of the Cathedral was covered in scaffolding for renovation)
Saint Louis
Elegant interior
model of the Notre Dame de Reims
beautiful, biblical stained glass created by artist: Marc Chagall
Ironically, Aidan was working on an artist report for his language arts class & Marc Chagall was the artist he was studying.
