This is an old photo of the boys playing in what is now our garden area. See all the weeds...it was an eyesore with all the weeds...not to mention a lot of work trying to keep them out!
We took advantage of the pretty weather today & finished off the garden. Last spring, we put the weed cloth down (thank goodness) when we built the raised beds. Later in the summer, we found some cobblestone that we liked and hoped to pave the entire area around the garden beds. We bought some, but when we went back to the store a couple weeks later, it was discontinued. So, we paved the perimeter with what we had and added the rock today. We like the look....much better than all those weeds!
Now we just needs some garden decorations....maybe a sundial...or one of those silly wire dogs, cats or frogs! We'll see.
We are looking forward to watching our cool weather veggies grow. They will be yummy in a salad!
