Each year we celebrate Thanksgiving just like everyone else, but we've never made Thanksgiving Dinner on our own. Thankfully Jess grew up helping her mom make homemade stuffing in the turkey, cook the sweet potatoes, and most importantly, make pumpkin pie! This year, however, we are on our own; armed only with Jess' mom's incredibly helpful notes/directions. We've been at it for about two hours now, slicing, dicing, and prepping. It's sunny and brisk here in Belgium and the boys are out climbing trees and jumping on the haystacks. I love this new tradition. I the sous chef and Jess the Chef. It's going to be a great day! Of course we miss everyone back home. To all the Stolls, Fishbacks, Geerlings, Ratermanns, Macauleys, Dittmars, Elmores, Stretchs, and all our friends have a happy, blessed, and safe Thanksgiving. We over here in Belgium are thankful for all of you!
