April: Easter Break~ Keukenhof, NL

The last weekend of break, we drove to Lisse, Netherlands to visit the very famous flower garden called the Keukenhof.   We have wanted to go the last couple springs, but usually we are just getting back from an Easter break trip.  Since we stayed put this break due to Mike's work travel, we thought a short weekend getaway would be great way to end the break.   Mother Nature must have agreed because the weather on our 2 day trip in NL was perfect.

The Keukenhof is most notable for their tulips.  There are 7 million flower bulbs planted in the garden this year, and 800 different varieties of tulips alone.  No wonder the Keukenhof is known as "the most beautiful spring garden in the world!"
