Furry & Not so Furry Friends

Over the last couple months, we seem to have acquired some outdoor pets.  The nice thing is that they are completely self-sufficient and require nothing from us other than enjoying our backyard.

Meet: Hoppy

Colin & Aidan named this cute "lapin," Hoppy.  He is meant to be a house bunny, but our local neighbors were given him as a gift & have set him free.  Apparently, he does not want to cuddle with the girls & is not interested in being a pet, so he is an outdoor bunny now.  However, he basically just hops between their yard, our yard and our other neighbor's yard eating grass and weed flowers.  Thankfully, no predators have bothered him, so I guess he is here to stay.

Meet: kitty

This sweet "chat" just showed up one day and didn't want to leave.  He kept looking in our back door and meowing at us.  Aidan and I went out to pet him, and he jumped in my lap.  He is very sweet, purrs a lot, & loves attention.  Unfortunately, I am afraid he is lost, so I hope he finds his home.

Outdoor cats are very common here.  We see them everyday hunting in the field behind our house and roaming the streets.  Most of them go in at night, but they want to be outside during the day.  This little guy just wants a family.  Too bad, I'm allergic.

Meet: Turbo

And today, we noticed our friend, "l'escargot," hanging out on the house!   I know what my Dad is thinking..."a great snack for Belgian time!"
