The weather here has been quite nice by Belgian standards. Actually, it's been a bit warm, but we have been told not to wish it away because the weather will soon revert to its British-like charm (damp, windy, and overcast). With this in mind, after mass last Sunday, we drove into Mons (12-15 minutes from the house) to do what people in a city with a Place (pronounced with a short "a") do; lounge around in a cafe and have a good beer (or two), a snack (crepes for Jess and I and milkshakes and frites for the boys). Sitting underneath the umbrella at the Copenhagen Tavern watching families walk by while having a good beer, snack, and talking was a marvelous and relaxing way to spend the afternoon!
