A day trip to Delft, Netherlands

On Saturday, we drove about 2 hours and 15 minutes to the quaint and charming canal city of Delft.   It was a beautiful, sunny day, and the temperatures rose to nearly 60 degrees. Our plan was to visit the Royal Delft Museum to see how Delft Blue is made and to experience painting a tile in one of their workshops.  The city of Delft is home to the beautiful blue and white porcelain tiles (Delft Blue) that you may have seen around the world.  We enjoyed visiting this quaint city filled with a bustling Saturday market, bike riders in every direction, and restaurants on every corner.

After doing the workshop at Royal Delft, we walked around the city, found a market, and eventually made our way to a pizza restaurant.  It was a fun day of learning and enjoying this beautiful Dutch city.
