We wanted to post how BIG our garden is growing. These were taken earlier in the week, and since then, I've staked up the tomatoes and cucumber plants. So far, we've eaten loads of lettuce...and enjoyed chives on our potatoes. I spotted several small cucumbers...about 1" in length. I'm hoping we get tomatoes....only time will tell. I don't think we'll get peppers this year. Those plants just don't seem to be growing very tall. It's been fun learning about the veggies and being able to pick veggies to add to dinner right before we eat. And as you can see, we still need to put the cobblestone-like pavers down... that is next. So, with the next update, you will probably see those.
We're growing cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, lettuce, peppers, sage, basil, oregano, chives, and the flowers are marigolds. Those are known to help keep certain insects away from the veggie plants.
