Lazy Weekend

We had a pretty laid back weekend. Saturday morning, we did one of our favorite things to do with Colin and Aidan. We headed over to Demun and got some coffee and breakfast sweets from Kaldi's, the best coffee in town! It just wouldn't be a weekend morning without good coffee, good conversation, and some fun for the kiddos. We took our treats over to Demun's playground and let the boys run wild. It was a beautiful, cooler morning, and the boys were excellent. Then, we took a walk around Wydown and just gazed at all the gorgeous homes along that street...dreaming that one day...just maybe... :)

When we got home, Colin said he wasn't feeling well, so we just relaxed and gave him lots of mommy-daddy love. He had a pretty high fever...102. So, we got the kiddos down for a nap and worked on the house a bit. We're having one of Mike's relatives from Holland stay with us Wednesday thru Friday and wanted to get some little projects done. We're very excited about Kees' visit.

On Sunday, Colin was doing some better and as the day progressed, his fever went away. We still hung around the house and played outside while Daddy turned the yard into a "park" as he likes to call it when he cuts the grass. Ha Ha!! Then, we (or I should say, Mike) bbq-ed some brats, and we had a yummy dinner.

I have to say, though, that the evening was topped off by the U.S. Men's 4x100 relay swim team winning the GOLD over the much anticipated France. What an amazing swim by Jason Lezak! Michael Phelps' expression after realizing they won was PRICELESS! He kind of looked like "The Incredible Hulk!" :) What a great win!! Go U.S.A.!! I'm definitely a proud American!
