Day 4 was a spectacular day! We visited a couple seaside villages of Bretagne (Brittany) and one medieval village. All were beautiful in there own way. The first stop we made was to the quaint town of Cancale, France. Here, they are known for their fresh oysters. We also were able to enjoy a little hike along the cliffs.

Dinan
Our next stop was to the medieval city of Dinan. What a charming place to visit! Dinan has some quaint half-timbered buildings and even has ramparts surrounding the city.

St. Malo
St. Malo, at one time, was a fortified island. Click here to check out an aerial view of St. Malo. It's quite impressive! Despite being heavily bombed in 1944, the city's ramparts still remain. The city was restored to its former glory. Today, St. Malo is a major working port, ferry terminal, and resort.
You can see part of the old rampart.

Day 5: On our last day, we spent most of our day driving home, but we stopped in Lisieux, France to see the basilica that is dedicated to St. Therese of Lisieux.
