Our Villa
Antipasti and local vino
My new favorite antipasto is burrata which is a fresh mozzarella ball filled with cream or ricotta cheese and then, tied closed. Wow! Spread some burrata on a crostini and drizzle some local olive oil over the top....it's heavenly! Click here to see burrata. Thankfully, our Italian friends know where we can order some close to where we live.
During one of our daytrips, we were unprepared for the rainy/chilly weather. So, Claire and I bought sweatshirts which made us happy & warm. :)
A couple nights while in Tuscany, we cooked in. The local store had fresh ravioli.
Smelled good!
And tasted even better!
Delicious!
Seeing a field of sunflowers was on my list, and I was so happy to be able to check it off. They just make me smile.
We enjoyed many wines while in Tuscany. Our favorite, that we bought to have at the villa, was Morellino di Scanscano (San Cassiano). We were told by the proprieter of the villa that Morellino is the local grape/wine. It was excellent!
